My TEDx Video is Out!
Updated: Jul 6
Last September, I was honored to speak at the TEDxDosan Park Youth event. My talk, “My Identity Crisis: How I See Myself Versus How the World Sees Me,” was about the quiet tension between who I feel I am and how I am perceived by others.
Growing up across Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cultures, I’ve often felt like I exist in between spaces rather than fully within one. There are moments when these identities feel harmonious, but also times when they seem to pull me in different directions. Preparing this talk pushed me to confront that uncertainty more honestly— to recognize how much of my identity is shaped by context, by language, and by the people around me. It was less about defining myself clearly and more about learning to sit with the ambiguity and accept that not everything needs a fixed answer.
The video was recently uploaded, and you can watch it on TEDx’s Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVZue5c-9Mg.
